About

I’m Megan, a teacher turned UX Designer & Researcher, endlessly fascinated by human behavior.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by human behavior. From studying anthropology as an undergraduate student to teaching young learners in bilingual classrooms around the world, I’ve been driven to both appreciate my fellow human beings and understand their behavioral patterns.

Today, this passion for understanding people has led me to the world of UX, where I research human behavior to inform good product design. As a teacher, my most frustrating interactions were not with students, parents, or administrators, but with educational software that was dysfunctional, confusing, or time consuming. My goal as a UX designer and researcher is always to improve the lives of people around me by eliminating extra stresses and allowing them to do their jobs better. Whether it’s improving the layout of a non-profit’s website to generate more donations, or redesigning products for the education industry, I believe that the power of design can and should be wielded for the greater good.

When I’m not designing you can find me doing Zumba, making embroidery hoops, or finding the best tofu recipes. View my resume for more information on my background.
